1. $35  Can Sponsor One Night of Local Investigations.

To free victims of sexual slavery, we must first find them. This requires trained operatives spending time in dark places where sex trafficking is likely to occur. Empowering around 50 undercover operatives in Asia and India, these funds will ensure these brave men and women have consistent funding to do the gritty work of actively seeking those currently enslaved.

2. $ 100 Can Provide Transitional Care to Survivors.

This includes advocacy from a national social worker, immediate medical care, and comfort kits. We understand that true restoration doesn’t end with the rescue event; we know that survivors need quality care and resources in their journeys toward healing. And though our primary focus is in promoting rescue with police, we do invest a portion of our resources as an organization into providing immediate care for those rescued. While these services vary according to country and mission, they typically include: basic medical care, social worker advocacy, clothing, transportation, lodging, and care packages including blankets, food, and comfort items. While this fund does not address the long term care needs of survivors, it does provide us with the resources to provide care immediately following the oftentimes traumatic event of the raid.

3. $245 Can Sponsor One Entire Week (7 nights at $35/each) of Local Investigations.

4. $600 Can Provide Two Covert Cameras to Field Teams.

This helps them in collection of evidence for police. Covert gear is an essential component to the successful gathering of evidence of modern slavery. This type of capital investment, however, is difficult for nationals or smaller organizations to obtain. The Exodus Road field tests and obtains quality covert and surveillance gear to use with our own field teams, and also as grants to our partners. While we can’t share the exact gear specs because of security, a few examples are: body worn covert cameras, long range surveillance cameras, remote operated cameras, and go pros (for raid footage, worn in chest straps). This practical tool greatly increases the effectiveness of investigative hours, as well as operative safety.

5. $700 Can Fund a National for One Month

We believe strongly in investing into national staff in every country where we work. Locals are the greatest assets to fighting trafficking in their home countries, and we know that sustainability as an organization must include a large investment into empowering nationals. With this gift, a national Exodus Road staff member will be employed for one month on your behalf. You will get the job title and photo of the staff member you are employing with a good wage, fighting slavery in their own communities. It could be a social worker, an officer manager, an operations manager, or even a front line investigator. (Consider donating for a birthday month or to celebrate a corporate event.)

6. $3,000 Can Sponsor a Complete Raid.

To significantly impact the literal rescue of individuals from slavery, consider fully funding the investigations and raid process for a team, likely in India, Thailand, or Cambodia. These funds will cover all travel, lodging and investigative expenses, including some contract salaries, for the mission and will involve transporting and advocacy for the survivors immediately post-raid. After the raid takes places, you will be notified with information and details of the mission and the survivors, including at least one photo, so that you (and your friends, company, etc.) can celebrate that the meaningful role you played in abolition. Like all our missions, raids will be led by local police and will involve arrests of traffickers, as well.

7. Monthly Sponsorship of a Search and Rescue Team: $35+/month, individual / $245+/month, group

Join a Search and Rescue Team by monthly empowering their work on the front lines. Team descriptions are on the website, and you can choose which team you feel most excited about joining: ALPHA, BRAVO, CHARLIE, and DELTA. You’ll get team-specific newsletters and a welcome packet, as well as the ability to follow online and celebrate when your team experiences success in abolition.
