In doing so, they found the perpetrator — and they found Kate.

Kate was deeply traumatized when social workers met with her. She is now under the protection of the government’s family welfare department, receiving protection to be sure she will not be exploited again.
The perpetrator is facing serious charges. Because under U.N. standards, no one under the age of 18 can consent to sexual activity, to profit off non-consensual sexual content involving a minor is always a crime — and is always human trafficking.
