Our ALPHA team in Thailand investigated several traffickers operating on Twitter.
One offered “14-year-old girl for sex services” for the equivalent of $84. The traffickers exploited her limited education and opportunities, having only studied through elementary school. The other two offered “good girls” for sex and online sexual exploitation.
ALPHA Team gathered the evidence law enforcement needed to intervene and arrest the 3 traffickers. They now face 6 to 15 years in jail and fines of approximately $18,000 to $46,000.

The two girls, who were being psychologically controlled and manipulated by the traffickers, are now receiving care, one in a shelter for women and children and one at a government aftercare facility.
